Stephanie Cencibaugh is an entrepreneur and strategist based in Portland, Oregon. She lives there with her partner Ruben and their two children. She builds companies and systems designed for clarity, consistency, and longevity.
Cencibaugh began her career in 2010 after enrolling at Paul Mitchell The School Fresno. Soon after earning her cosmetology license, she was invited to teach. She spent six years with the brand as an educator and leader in the Honors Program. She mentored new professionals in technical skill, leadership, and communication.
From 2017 to 2020, she worked at Keter Salon in Berkeley, California as a hairstylist. She was also a member of the marketing and communications team. Her work included event management, brand messaging, and social media strategy. During that time, Keter was recognized multiple times as one of the Best Salons of the East Bay.
In 2020, Cencibaugh co-founded Girls & Roses Tattoo Studio. It is a Portland tattoo studio known for its focus on professionalism. It is also celebrated for its client experience. As Creative Operations Director, she led operations and brand development. She also created The Residency, a paid mentorship program for early-career tattoo artists. Girls & Roses earned recognition in the Best of Rose City Awards. However, it closed in 2025. This was five years after its founding.
Cencibaugh grew up in California. During her early years, she traveled and volunteered. She supported adaptive sports for athletes with disabilities. Those experiences shaped her respect for systems that create access, confidence, and dignity. These values continue to guide her leadership today.
She attended Bullard Talent and Roosevelt School of the Arts. She later studied dance at Fresno City College. Afterward, she shifted her focus to cosmetology and business. Her foundation in performing and fine arts continues to influence her approach to education, communication, and operational design.
Cencibaugh is currently exploring new ventures in renewables, sustainability, and systems-driven innovation.
